Beaumaris

Paul Flakus is the Licensee of the Beaumaris office. Prior to joining First Chartered Capital in 1997, Paul was employed by the National Australia Bank for a period of 25 years, gaining many years’ experience at a managerial level and building his lending, negotiation and communication skills.

In 1997 Paul joined First Chartered Capital, working under the banner of Vana Financial Services at Port Melbourne, Victoria, servicing the financial requirements of VANA Newsagents throughout Victoria and gained expertise and knowledge in the operations of this niche business sector.

In response to a buoyant and expanding consumer market for commercial and residential finance, Paul opened the first First Chartered Capital office, in a Victorian shopfront located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Beaumaris.

The Beaumaris office specialises in arranging finance for commercial and residential properties, new business loans and  plant & equipment finance. Paul has many years’ experience in organising business finance for clients buying franchises, newsagencies, pharmacies, post offices and other businesses, as well as finance for existing businesses.

As a franchisee and small business owner himself, Paul understands the nature and workings of the industry, and is also a member of the Franchise Council of Australia. Currently, there are over 100 eligible franchise systems for which finance can be sourced and this list is growing.

With specific knowledge and experience in applying for this type of finance, Paul has existing relationships with industry specialist business lenders and other professionals who can assist in the loan process and in other aspects of setting up a successful and profitable franchise or other type of business.

This extends to close relationships with industry expert Accountants, Licensed Business Brokers, Business Valuers, Insurance Agents, Industry Associations and legal experts, all of which are vital for starting and running a business.
